樱桃山警察局长将于今年秋天退休
莫纳汉局长在警局工作了26年
新泽西州樱桃山 - After 26 years of service with the 樱桃山警察 Department, Police Chief William “Bud” Monaghan has announced his intention to retire this October.
“Working for the 樱桃山警察 Department and serving the Cherry Hill community has been the honor of a lifetime,” said Monaghan. “I want to thank all those who put their faith in me these past several years.”
莫纳汉于1995年加入该部门,并在2014年1月被任命为局长之前不断晋升。
Under Monaghan’s leadership, the 樱桃山警察 Department has instituted several community-based programs aimed at connecting the Police Department with the public. Monaghan specifically focused on building close ties with various civic, cultural, youth, and religious groups, and has developed strong relationships with the many facets of Cherry Hill’s population.
“I want to thank Chief Monaghan for his 26 years of service and leadership to the Township and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” said Mayor Susan Shin Angulo.
Monaghan has also regularly attended community meetings to discuss issues facing Cherry Hill’s neighborhoods and has often took the time to personally follow up with residents himself. 他还非常关注警察的透明度,因为警察局也是最早采用随身摄像机等技术的部门。
“Chief Monaghan has been a valued partner in building bridges across all corners of our community. Town Council and I are grateful for his distinguished service and leadership,” said Council President David Fleisher.
The process to appoint Monaghan’s successor is now underway and will take place over the coming months.
