议会连续第八年通过不增税预算案
根据樱桃山镇议会于2019年9月23日通过的预算，市政税收将连续第八年不增加。
2020财年预算继续投资于道路、公共安全、历史遗产、技术升级、娱乐和市政设施的环保升级。
“For the past eight years, I have worked to uphold my commitment to the hard-working families of Cherry Hill to run the town efficiently– while keeping my promise to protect and preserve the character and integrity of our community and our neighborhoods,” said Mayor Chuck Cahn. “Once again we have proposed a budget that commits funds to the services and initiatives that matter to the residents of Cherry Hill. These include investments into public safety, township roadways, recreational facilities, historic properties, open space, programming for children and seniors, and government accessibility.”
Mayor Cahn emphasized the importance of balancing the Township’s economic interests with the needs of its neighborhood and residents.
Cahn cited several factors that have contributed to the town’s financial stability, including a strong tax ratable base, strategic redevelopment throughout town, savings on areas such as employee healthcare and continued efforts to control municipal debt.
“Council is proud to deliver Cherry Hill taxpayers a budget that is both fiscally responsible and provides the best possible programs and services,” said Council President David Fleisher. “Together with the Mayor, we remain committed to the kind of innovative thinking and smart money-management that will stabilize municipal taxes now and in the future.”
