1. I have a traffic ticket with an appearance date, but the officer did not check the box labeled “court appearance required.” Do I need to come to court?

No. If the box is not checked, you need to pay the ticket by the appearance date or call the Municipal Court at (856) 488-7850 to enter a plea of not guilty. There are instructions on the back of the ticket. If you are not sure what you need to do, please call the court to verify the information on the ticket.

2. Why can’t I find my ticket on the website?

There are two reasons a ticket may not be available on the website. The ticket has not been filed with the Municipal Court or there is a typographical error in the ticket information.

A filing delay of 10-14 days is typical for tickets issued by the New Jersey State Police, Camden County Park Police, and Delaware River Port Authority / Port Authority Transit Corporation. Tickets issued by Cherry Hill Police Department are usually available online by 5:00 pm the day after the date of the ticket.
