Origami Kit Assembly with Paper Playground Inc.

Full Description

PAPER PLAYGROUND INC.

ORIGAMI KIT ASSEMBLY - For Adults & Children (ages 8 and up)

Join us on February 8 as we assemble Origami kit's for Paper Playground Inc, a 501 C3 created by Cherry Hill East Junior, Noah Livstone.

The mission is to offer kids the opportunity to experience the joy and therapeutic benefits of Origami, a craft that can be simple or intricate, but is certainly transformative.  The organization would love to see Origami in the hands of all kids, but is really focused on providing Origami Kits to underserved populations and neurodiverse children.  Origami has been a powerful tool in Noah's life struggles, and he has been sharing the beneficial skill with other kids for some time.

Origami offers numerous benefits for children, from enhancing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to boosting creativity and problem-solving abilities. It also helps with focus, patience, and mindfulness, making it especially beneficial for neurodiverse children who may thrive in structured, calming activities. The beauty of origami is its simplicity: all it requires is a square sheet of paper, making it an inexpensive and accessible craft that can be done virtually anywhere, whether at home, in the classroom, or even during travel.  Noah developed an Origami kit, including a story that you follow along and are asked to fold different figures at a beginner's level, to get you through the story.  There is square paper, stickers and instructions also included.

All materials are provided. EASY – No experience needed. Light refreshments and Valentine candy will be served.

*Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
